Remodel is complete!

So, the bad news is the Texas Longhorns lost on Saturday. We did more than lose...we got our booties kicked. However, we still had a nice weekend catching up with good friends and enjoying the fair.

With bad news, always comes good news. Our kitchen remodel is COMPLETE. We spent all day Sunday cleaning and moving back in and re-creating our home again. We are so pleased with everything!!

My favorite spot is the breakfast nook. I'll get a better picture of the beautiful blue, green and ivory stripe on the window seat. We LOVE this area!

This is our dining room area. We added bead board and it looks so much better! It's amazing how small touches can update a room in seconds.

Our laundry room is now painted and organized as well :)

Here is a shot of the bead board under the bar with new bar stools. I have eaten breakfast at the bar every morning so far. We were in desperate need of more seating in the kitchen area and we definitely accomplished that! Sorry for the messy pillows in the picture. I really need some photography skills.

And...this is our living area next to the kitchen with some fall decor! I was so excited to finally decorate for fall on Sunday. The fireplace used to be brass. We painted it black to match the black lanterns we use throughout the space and the black bar stools. This small touch was easy and really updated the space.

I hope you like it! We are loving it. These pictures just don't do it justice. I will send more pictures once I have them. One thing that you cannot see in these pictures is the amazing drawers we have in the cabinets to help us see everything and keep all of our stuff organized. My mother-in-law is a genius with kitchen design! We are glad to be home and cooked a wonderful meal in our new kitchen last night.
